2006 ROAD SAFETY FORUM
Based on previous experiences the
2006 ROAD SAFETY FORUM intended to focus on the activities which are between
the highest priorities of PRI members. The topic 2006 is dedicated to the work
on the local level and on the work of volunteers in the field of road safety.
The contribution of volunteers to the road safety work is highly important.
Road safety is a shared responsibility. The involvement of citizens shows
road safety is not a matter for governments, parliaments and other
authorities exclusively. A people driven policy generates more impact and
improves acceptance of countermeasures.
The target is to:
- present best practice of the work on the local level
- present the different possibilities of the volunteers work
- exchange experiences among the members
- receive inputs in order to include good ideas and best practices into the
VAMOS project or to open the door for co-operation between PRI members, other
partners in the field of road safety and countries.
